Baseball is the easiest New York sport to build a trip around. The regular season runs from late March or early April to the end of September, with playoffs in October — and across that long stretch the Yankees and Mets play more than 160 home games between them. Whenever you visit between spring and fall, there's almost certainly a game, and usually an affordable seat.

Here's how to buy well.
